Our History
Shackelford & Co. Designs is the newest division of SCI, Inc. A family owned business founded in
1980, SCI, Inc. has over 25 years of experience in general contracting. They have specialized in
road construction, other services include underground utilities and bridgework. In August of 2003,
SCI, Inc. opened their first division, GEO-Pave, which specializes in soil stabilization and asphalt
paving. After graduation from The Art Institute of Atlanta, working with Design Classique Enterprises
and free-lancing, Brandy J. Shackelford moved back to her hometown to open her own interior
design firm - one that would offer a multitude of services and top-notch quality. So, on January 1,
2005, Shackelford & Co. Designs opened for business as SCI, Inc's second division.
For over two years, Shackelford & Co. Designs has helped their clients realize their dreams by
utilizing their space planning, visualization, and coordinating skills. All of the designers employed by
Shackelford & Co. Designs must be members of ASID or IIDA and be in good standing with their
ethics board. Designers are required to have a certain number of continued education each year;
therefore all of our designers are capable and ready to assist you with your dreams - whether it be
remodeling, building your new dream house or just a refresher. With experience in model homes,
condo/penthouse design, collegiate halls, high-end residential, retail, institutional, and worship spaces,
the design team at Shackelford & Co. Designs is ready to make your dreams come true no matter
what you are looking for.
